For they are rusty at the arts of war and feel secure in their bubbled up farming pockets, they get sleepy and careless, just the way we like our loot piñatas.
Kaeda Maxwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13954843678698092456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604973112865316634.post-72593804271113929492013-07-25T01:21:10.635-07:002013-07-25T01:21:10.635-07:00Your writing style is unique and this post is grea...Your writing style is unique and this post is great sir.

Every now and then someone calls someone else unworthy for 0-sec. Most of the time "carebear" is mentioned very often. But if you take a look at CFC, there is no other carebear heaven that can compete with that.
Even with some roaming gangs coming through, the space is far and wide and nothing really threatens you.

Jester made a nice post about fractal somewhere before fan fest. Big alliances fighting over resources. Good. Small roaming gangs enter enemy territory and all they find is POSes and Stations with hundreds of pilots hiding in there, and now way to harm them. (Unless you count smack talk) Thats Bad in my books.

Why is that so? Hiding for 30 minutes will provide you with a few hours of income. What if that hiding had a several hours disadvantage on your income? Stolen by those you hided from.

Small gangs get an income if they don't encounter enemies. Hiding will come at a price. And oversize enemy gangs will yield less income than multiple small gangs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604973112865316634.post-36465883475888213092013-07-24T19:01:26.757-07:002013-07-24T19:01:26.757-07:00A wonderful read, and so eloquently accurate.
Ho...A wonderful read, and so eloquently accurate.

However, I fear this is war is over. Your point about how " I don't log onto Eve Online in order to continue my RL work day. Eve Online is an entertainment; a work of fantasy and science fiction" is NOT how the cartel leaders and their minions within CCP view it. This may be a game for you, but has huge RMT impact for them. The business managers inside the goons are far more motivated than Test, or Tribal, or anyone else.

To the average player, that believe that goons plan on re-establishing a stronger chokehold than before on the T2 mfg raw material supply, just for an in-game e-peen surge, think again.

Why would anyone do that, when they will be creating an ISK flow that will be worth hundreds of thousands of real life dollars annually. And given that their lobbyists on the CSM and the game designers like the goon soundwave are actively working to remove T2 mfg from high sec and hand it to null sec, that ISK flow may suddenly become millions of dollars.

At Fanfest, the Eve economists pegged the economy at 650 trillion lSK. At a conservative value of 12 dollars per billion ISK, that rounds out to 7.8 million dollars.

The null sec cartels' take on that is easily 10% at the moment. When they get T2 mfg handed to them, wanna guess what that ramps up to then? And we are not even getting into how much the null sec ice buff and transfer of wealth directly from high sec to null sec was worth to the null sec mining bot armies.

This war is indeed being run by finance managers, not warriors, and for good reason. The goons have looked at the Chinese server null sec cartel business model, and saw that is was goodAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05509895151523038252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604973112865316634.post-27616698254064171942013-07-24T15:27:52.661-07:002013-07-24T15:27:52.661-07:00That's a very interesting battle you picked wi...That's a very interesting battle you picked with which to compare. Both Richard and Henry had no idea on whom they could depend and who might betray them. The Duke of Northumberland failed to heed Richard's "request" to advance. Sir William Stanley stood off to the side waiting to see which man got the advantage. All in all, they were all a bunch of self-seeking politicians who just happened to wield swords. If that isn't null-sec today I don't know what is.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07326933418820669302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604973112865316634.post-31776556855835063692013-07-24T14:33:09.832-07:002013-07-24T14:33:09.832-07:00O Captain!
